Ravi Shastri ‘s reply to R Ashwin: India had to face a disappointing defeat to Australia in the final of the World Test Championship. Apart from India’s poor performance in the title clash, one of the major talking points was the exclusion of off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin from the playing XI.

Ashwin said this in an interview:-

In an interview, Ashwin had said that instead of “friends” in the dressing room, there are “colleagues”. Now former Indian head coach Ravi Shastri has given the answer.

R Ashwin said in an interview to The Indian Express, “This is an era where everyone is a colleague. There was a time when cricket was played, all your teammates used to be friends. Now, they are colleagues. There’s a big difference because people are out here to push themselves and get ahead of the other person sitting on your right or left.”
