Ravichandran Ashwin joins Surrey’s squad for County Championship
India off-spinner R Ashwin was picked in the Surrey team in place of New Zealand pacer Kyle Jamieson, who was injured. Ravichandran Ashwin on Saturday was added to Surrey’s squad for the County Championship fixture against Somerset. Beginning July 11 at the Oval. Ravichandran will join the group for this match only.

R Ashwin on Sunday played his first County Championship game for Surrey and achieved a huge milestone. Surrey was facing Somerset at the Oval in the County match.
This is Ashwin’s first County match for Surrey. He has previously played for Nottinghamshire and Worcestershire. This will be his only appearance for Surrey, as after the match. He will join the rest of the England camp for the upcoming practice sessions for the England Tests.
