India beat Sri Lanka by 91 runs in the final T20 match to win the three-match series 2-1 on Saturday. This was the first time the two teams were facing each other after their Asia Cup clash last year.
Reetinder reflected on India’s performance –
India was forced out of the Asia Cup after losing to Sri Lanka in the Super 12 match. But months later, the Hardik Pandya-led side finally managed to get past the defending Asian champions.
Former India all-rounder Reetinder Singh Sodhi reflected on India’s performance in the recent T20I series against Sri Lanka. Sodhi believes that the current Indian side is undoubtedly better than Sri Lanka.
Reetinder told India News Sports on Saturday –
“Opposition teams are clueless when Suryakumar Yadav is on song. That’s what we expect from him. Our top-order batsmen had struggled in the first two T20s and their flow was lacking in our batting. But everything changed in this match, with Suryakumar and Shubman Gill firing on all cylinders. No doubt India is better than Srilanka. We didn’t do well in the first two matches, but on this occasion we outplayed them completely.”
