Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed the Remaining season of Pakistan Super League 2021 (PSL) to start on June 9 in Abu Dhabi

The Pakistan Cricket Board has finally succeeded in overcoming all the difficulties and trying to start the second part of PSL Season 6. The PCB has announced that the second part of Pakistan Super League Season 6 will start on June 9. In the first week of March, the PSL was postponed due to the occurrence of corona cases in the bio bubble.

The PCB on Thursday announced the resumption of the sixth season of the Pakistan Super League. Along with this, the PCB has also released the schedule of the remaining 20 matches of season 6. The Pakistan Cricket Board said that the fourth-placed Lahore Qalandar will take on third-place Islamabad United in the 15th match of the tournament. The final match will be played on June 24.

Before Pakistan’s tour of England, it was decided to have six double-header matches to finish the tournament. Five of these double-headers will be played in the preliminary round while the sixth will be played between the qualifiers and the first eliminator on June 21.

Delay in starting the tournament

The Pakistan cricket team will leave for England on the very next day of the final. the board said.”The remaining matches of the Pakistan Super League will be played in Abu Dhabi from June 9 to 24, before the Pakistan men’s team leaves for Manchester on June 25,”

The Pakistan Cricket Board had already announced to shift the sixth season to UAE. However, the efforts of the PCB were to start the tournament on June 20. But due to the strict rules of Quarantine, the resumption of the sixth season of PSL was delayed.

The sixth season of the Pakistan Super League started on 20 February. The bio bubble broke in the first week of March and many players were found to be corona positive and the tournament was stopped midway.
