Rishabh Pant became the first Indian batsman to reach this milestone in the year 2022

Trinidad: Team India’s swashbuckling wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant could not show up in the first T20 match of the series against West Indies on Friday. Pant, playing an innings of 14 runs in 12 balls, was caught by Aqeel Hossain off Keemo Paul. Even though Rishabh Pant played a short innings in the first T20, during this time he became the first Indian batsman to complete 1000 runs in international cricket in the year 2022. He has become the fifth batsman in the world to reach this milestone.

Crossed the 1000 run mark in the 27th innings

Rishabh Pant crossed the 1000-run mark while playing his 27th international innings this year. Pant has got 1002 runs in 27 innings in the year 2022. He has scored 3 centuries and 6 half-centuries during this period. His average during this period has been around 45 and strike rate is around 98.

No other Indian could show as much power as Rishabh Pant

Rishabh Pant (1002) is followed by Shreyas Iyer (866) and Surya Kumar Yadav (533) in the list of highest run-scorers for India this year. Strong players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli have not been able to cross even the 500-run mark this year.

Jonny Bairstow has scored the most runs this year

England wicketkeeper batsman Jonny Bairstow is at the first place in the world in terms of scoring the most runs in international cricket in the year 2022. Bairstow has scored 1222 runs in 22 innings. After this, Bangladesh’s Litton Das (1214) is in second place, Azam outside Pakistan (1184) in third and Joe Root (1025) of England in fourth place.
