Yadav’s recent outing was in January when he was part of an exhibition game organized by the Uttar Pradesh government in Meerut. Which featured several Ranji Trophy players from the state. Kuldeep Yadav will take a small step back from injury after missing the entire IPL 2021.

He was ruled out of the first leg in April 2021 as Kolkata Knight Riders put Varun Chakraborty’s mystery spin ahead, and withdrew from the second leg after suffering a knee injury in the United Arab Emirates.

A Chance to Rediscover Your Partnership :-

One reason for giving Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra a chance to rediscover their partnership is their past success. Between the end of the 2017 Champions Trophy and the start of the 2019 World Cup, Kuldeep (87 wickets at 21.74) and Chahal (66 wickets at 25.68) were all top two wicket-takers in ODI cricket.

“They are going to be important going forward,” Rohit said ahead of the first match of the series in Ahmedabad on Sunday. “These two guys have done exceptionally well for us in the past, convincingly making an impact over the years they have played together.

We wanted to get an extra batsman, at times we wanted to bring in an extra seamer, so that’s probably why one of the two missed, but it’s firmly in my mind to bring them back together, especially Kuldeep “

Rohit Sharma repeatedly insisted on giving Kuldeep consent to “get into his own rhythm” and “find his own rhythm”, adding that the team would give him every opportunity to come into his own, even if he took his time.

He wasn’t Playing Since IPL :-

“He hasn’t played since IPL, got injuring, and was out since then,” Rohit said. And “he hasn’t played a lot after that, so we want to bring him in gradually.

As a key player in the white ball over the past four years, he has recently found himself at crossroads, with the team leadership looking forward to him. First, he went to Rahul Chahar for the T20 World Cup.

Sharma didn’t specify who plays and who doesn’t but did touch on being consistent in the selection, being candid with players about their roles, and expecting them to have a long rope.

“Chahal obviously played in South Africa, Kuldeep is just back in the team. Obviously, we want to give him an opportunity, but it can happen with time.

Kuldeep is expecting to play a lot to get his groove and rhythm back in the game and we understand that.
