“Rohit was like a father talking…”, Graeme Swann’s comment for Rohit Sharma goes viral

Fast bowler Akashdeep made his debut for India in the fourth Test match of the five-match series between India and England. This series has been the name of Indian young cricketers so far, with Yashasvi Jaiswal, Dhruv Jurel, Sarfaraz Khan and Akash Deep having impressed with their play in pressure situations.

When the play of the second day of this match was about to end, captain Rohit Sharma was at the non-strike end and Yashasvi was batting at the striker end. Rohit advised Yashasvi to defend on the last two balls of the second day. Rohit did not want India to lose even a single wicket and hence he was seen constantly talking to Yashasvi and guiding him.

Former England spinner Graeme Swann liked this thing of Rohit Sharma very much and he made such a comment on it, which is also going viral. He said, “It seemed that Rohit Sharma was talking to his son Yashasvi Jaiswal like a father and advising him to defend the last two balls of the day. It is wonderful to see this.” Let us tell you that on the second day, India had bowled out England for just 145 runs in the second innings. In this way India got the target of 192 runs to win.

India had made a good start :-

By the end of play on the second day of the match, India had scored 40 runs without losing any wicket. Yashasvi and Rohit made a partnership of 84 runs for India. Yashasvi was out after scoring 37 runs while Rohit was out after scoring 55 runs. India is leading 2-1 in the series and they want to win this test match and take an unassailable 3-1 lead in the series.
