Blackcaps batsman Ross Taylor has been ruled out from the first ODI match against Bangladesh due to an injury

Bangladesh tour of New Zealand series begins from March 20 in Dunedin, both the teams will play three One Day International matches and three T20I matches

Mark Chapman has been called into New Zealand’s squad for the first ODI against Bangladesh on Saturday in Dunedin.

Taylor is one of the most experienced and leading run-scorer in One Day Internationals from New Zealand

Cricket New Zealand will keep him in the squad for the final two ODI matches and hoped that he will be recovered soon

“It’s a shame for Taylor to happen this on the eve of a series,” New Zealand’s Coach Gary Stead said.

“It is a small tear and we hope that after some rest and rehabilitation we can fit him in Christchurch for the next games.

Kane Williamson has been also ruled out of the Bangladesh ODIs Series due to an elbow injury, Williamson has a small wound in his left elbow
