S Jaishankar presented a special gift of Virat Kohli to Australian Deputy PM, see pics

Virat Kohli: The Indian cricket team is currently in Australia to participate in the T20 World Cup 2022. Apart from Team India, India’s External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar is also currently on a tour of Australia. Jaishankar met Australian Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles on Monday.

The meeting between the two diplomats took place in Canberra. During this, the Foreign Minister of India presented a special gift to the Deputy Prime Minister of Australia. This gift is nothing but the bat of Indian batsman Virat Kohli.

Jaishankar gifted Virat’s signed bat to Richard. This photo of both the leaders is becoming quite viral on social media. Australian Deputy PM Marles himself has posted a photo of his meeting with Jaishankar from his social media handle.

S Jaishankar presented a special gift of Virat Kohli to Australian Deputy PM.

He wrote in the caption with this that there are many things that bind us, including our love for cricket. Marles further said that today he (Jaishankar) surprised cricket legend Kohli with a signed bat.

Jaishankar also gave a gift to Australian counterpart Marise Payne earlier this year :-

Earlier this year, Jaishankar gifted a cricket bat signed by Kohli to his Australian counterpart Marise Payne at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

Jaishankar had visited Australia in February to attend the Quad Foreign Ministers’ meeting. Jaishankar presented the bat to Payne in the presence of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi.
