SA20, 2024: Many of South Africa’s top players have chosen SA20 over international cricket in New Zealand, with the second season set to begin on January 10. Till then all these players will participate in matches against international teams. Joburg Super Kings, with international players like Gerald Coetzee, Reeza Hendricks and Nandre Berger, are set to play a few games against Namibia.
These matches, hosted by the Super Kings, include two practice matches against the Namibian national team on 5 and 7 January. Obviously, these matches are part of the preparations for the second season of the SA20.
SA20, 2024: Namibia has qualified for T-20 World Cup :-
The Namibian team, which has qualified for the T-20 World Cup to be held in West Indies and America, has been called by Super Kings to give good practice to its players. Also, let us tell you that in these matches, Namibian international player David Wiese will play for the franchise instead of the national team.

Netherlands will face:-
Similarly, Sunrisers Eastern Cape have invited the Netherlands for a practice match with players like Temba Bavuma, Aiden Markram and Marco Jensen. Netherlands will face Sunrisers Eastern Cape on January 4 and 6, Paarl Royals on January 7 and 9 and MI Cape Town on January 18.
IPL owners were trying this for a long time :-
Let us tell you that the idea of playing against the associate teams mooted by the owners of the Indian Premier League (IPL) for a long time, but somehow it could not happen but now the SA20 franchises are associating with the association teams.
The second season of the SA20 will begin on January 10 with a match between last year’s champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape and Joburg Super Kings in Port Elizabeth.
