New Delhi. Under the captaincy of Sanju Samson, Rajasthan Royals registered a historic three-wicket win against Chennai Super Kings at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai. Rajasthan Royals got their third win of IPL 2023 in a thrilling final over. When Mahendra Singh Dhoni was at the crease at the end of the match, it seemed that Mahi would put this match in the hands of Chennai Super Kings. But this could not happen and in the end Rajasthan wrote the script of victory. In the last over of the match, Chennai Super Kings needed 21 runs to win. Dhoni scored 14 runs, but missed winning by just 3 runs. Finally, after winning the match, Sanju Samson made a statement about Mahendra Singh Dhoni, which is making headlines. However, Sanju Samson did not name Dhoni during his statement and addressed him with That Guy, which some people are also criticizing.

In the post-match presentation after the match, Sanju Samson was asked by Mahesh Manjrekar, “Did you think the game was with you in the last two overs?” While answering this question, Sanju Samson praised Dhoni fiercely. He said, “Never.” However, while giving his answer, Sanju did not take the name of the legendary cricketer even once. Sanju Samson told that the last two overs were very tense, because when Dhoni is at the crease, you are not safe. For this you have to respect them. Everyone knows what he can do. Nothing works against them.

Sanju Samson said, “No sir, never. When you have him (MS Dhoni) at the crease. You have to respect him (That Guy) and know what he can do in the middle. Everyone was involved and the match was not over till the last ball. I do a lot of planning, research and sit with the data team, but also take a lot of calls inside the ground to see who is bowling well where. I played only two balls, but I am tired as if I have scored a hundred. Lots of thoughts are going around.”

the Captain Gave a Brilliant Answer

When Manjrekar asked if Samson and his Rajasthan Royals data team had any plans to stop Dhoni, the skipper gave a brilliant answer. Sanjay Manjrekar asked, “What data do you have about him (That Guy) you just talked about?” To this Sanju Samson said, “Nothing. Nothing works, no date, no plan, nothing.”
