Mahmood Becomes The First Man In BBL :-
Upon arrival for the Thunder, English pacer Mahmood became the first man in the BBL. And only the 10th man in T20 cricket anywhere in the world to take four wickets. Within the first three overs of an innings.

Thunder’s 196. England started the BBL with four wickets within the first three overs of defense.

Saqib Mahmood couldn’t believe his luck when Jimmy Pierson clipped a clip to deep fine leg and gave him 4 for 9 in just 11 balls, in addition to his first ball being sent to the boundary by Chris Lynn.
Lynn, Ben Duckett, and Sam Heazlett all fell, though it all ended with the Thunder chasing 196 for 7 runs.
The Combined For The Eighth Wicket :-
In the first three overs, the hosts were reduced to 5 for 15 before bowlers Javier Bartlett and Mark Steketty combined for a BBL record 79 for the eighth wicket, adding a scary run-out to Brisbane Heat’s misery.
That pair’s partnership came too late for Brisbane to save a bash boost point, Stecketti eventually falling apart as if an enchanting comeback win was being entertained.
Sam Billings (64 off 27) first took control of Thunder’s innings, with the English wicketkeeper hitting five sixes and five fours as he swung the spinners and fast bowlers over the ropes.

Their innings came in addition to setting the tone by Alex Hales and Jason Sangha, giving the Heat a huge chase if they won a second game in a row.
It could have been an even more difficult task if Mitchell Swepson hadn’t bowled Union around his feet. Bartlett also took two wickets, but went for 45 in his four overs, while Stecketti also took two on his return from national duties, where he was called upon to solidify the team after Pat Cummins’ close-contact play on Covid went.
The Played Three Unbeaten Innings :-
Sydney Thunder held on to in-form Alex Ross till the last over, in addition to playing three unbeaten innings, his final was 77 for 49.
Alex Ross thought he would get a boundary but his lap sweep was caught well by wicketkeeper Jimmy Pierson. He turned the ball over his off-stump to fine leg, but Pearson retaliated insincerely to take the catch in his left hand.
