Musheer Khan played a memorable inning of 131 runs in the India vs New Zealand match in the ICC Under-19 World Cup. Batting first against New Zealand in the Super-6 match of ICC Under-19 World Cup 2024, India scored 295 runs for eight wickets in 50 overs. Sarfaraz Khan’s brother Musheer Khan is a part of the Indian squad in this Under-19 World Cup.

Musheer is only the second Indian to score more than one century: –

With this innings, Musheer has become the first batsman to cross the 300-run mark in the ongoing Under-19 World Cup. This was Musheer’s second century in this Under-19 World Cup. Musheer is only the second Indian player to score more than one century in an Under-19 World Cup, before him Shikhar Dhawan had done this feat. Shikhar Dhawan had scored three centuries in the Under-19 World Cup played in 2004.

Musheer’s brother Sarfaraz has been selected in the Indian Test squad a day earlier. KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja got injured during the first Test match of the five-match Test series against England, due to which both will not be able to play in the second Test match to be held from February 2 in Visakhapatnam. Sarfaraz Khan has been selected in the Indian Test squad in place of KL Rahul. In this way, the Khan family has received two big good news within two days.

Musheer has scored 325 runs in four innings in the ICC Under-19 World 2024 at an average of 81.25 and a strike rate of 103.17. Musheer has scored at least a fifty in three out of four innings. Earlier in the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2024, the highest run scorer was in the name of Pakistan’s Shahzaib Khan, who scored 223 runs in three innings. The Indian cricket team is the most successful team in the ICC Under-19 World Cup history, having won the title five times.
