Sarfaraz’s brother Musheer Khan scored his first century in first class cricket.

Musheer Khan has scored his first first class century while playing for Mumbai on Friday, 23 February. Musheer, who impressed with his performance in the Under-19 World Cup, took the team to a strong position by scoring a brilliant century against Baroda in the quarter-finals of the Ranji Trophy.

Musheer Khan took Mumbai closer to a competitive score :-

Musheer scored a century in 181 balls. However, he hit only one six in his innings. Musheer Khan was the only batsman to cross the 30 mark in the first 80 overs of the Ranji Trophy quarter-finals. Prithvi Shaw contributed 33 runs and Rahane contributed three runs. Musheer made a 43-run partnership with Suryansh Shedge for the fourth wicket. At one time Mumbai team had lost five wickets at the score of 142. But Musheer helped Mumbai get closer to a competitive first innings score.

This is Musheer’s fourth first-class match for Mumbai. The Mumbai team was in trouble in the ongoing season due to the exclusion of some players, which include the names of Shivam Dubey and Shreyas Iyer. Musheer’s brother Sarfaraz is also not a part of the team, as he is playing for the Indian team in the Test series against England.

Musheer Khan is unbeaten after scoring 128 runs in 216 balls. Hardik has scored 30 runs in 163 balls. There is a partnership of 106 runs in 276 balls between these two for the sixth wicket. By the end of the first day’s play, Mumbai had scored 248 runs after losing 5 wickets in 90 overs.
