Shaheen Afridi even Forced Bangladesh to go for a Catch-back Review

Abid Ali and Abdullah Shafiq gave their team a good start. In which the former specifically targeted Ebadot Hussein. Abadot was running at a speed of over 140 kilometers per hour. And was initially troubling Abid. Even forced Bangladesh for a catch-back review, which however was not successful.

The bowler, however, was not always on the mark and Abid made his pay for the loose deliveries. Shafiq was strong at the other end, swinging the strike well while he didn’t even freeze the Bangladesh spinners, hitting boundaries off Taijul Islam and Mehdi Hasan, the openers managed five fours between them in 12 overs break.

Shaheen got hurt on the side of his Helmet when he tried to Duck on the ball.

Earlier, Mushfiqur Rahim caught in front of Hasan Ali in the first over of the day. But Bangladesh managed to make good progress thanks to a good stand between Liton and Yasir. Liton and Yasir batted with great intent, hitting regular boundaries, despite Pakistan coming out with all their might on the sixth wicket pair. Liton also relieved when Mohammad Rizwan missed the stumping opportunity off Nauman Ali.

But the partnership came to a sudden halt when Yasir walked off the field after the 31st over. In the 30th over, when he tried to duck Shaheen Afridi’s delivery, he injured the side of his helmet. Which didn’t bounce much. The physio came out and Yasir appeared fine after an onfield concussion test, and even before batting for an over, decided to leave.
