Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan will miss the two-match Test series against South Africa to be held in March-April. Shakib Al Hasan plays in the Indian T20 tournament IPL. If he is included in any team in the mega auction, then he will have to pull out of the Test series in South Africa. However, he will have time to play the ODI series.

According to the Cricbuzz report– The Head of Cricket Operations of BCB has said that Shakib will definitely play an ODI against South Africa. Although he did not say anything about his availability for the Test series. He did say that he would be available for the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka.

The BCB has informed the BCCI about Shakib’s unavailability in the IPL for the Test series against Sri Lanka. The Test series is to be played from May 8 to May 23, which will be played under the World Test Championship.

Shakib Al Hasan also skipped the Test series against New Zealand. He is rarely seen playing in the longer format. Apart from this, he also said that it is not possible for him to play in all three formats. It will be seen in the future which format he decides to skip.
