Delhi Capitals batsman Shreyas Iyer said he was “on top of the world” after recovering from a shoulder injury that forced him to miss the first half of the 2021 IPL season after Shreyas Iyer joined the Delhi Capitals camp after recovery.

Shreyas Iyer undergoes surgery in UK :-

Shreyas had dislocated his shoulder on March 23 in an ODI against England in Pune and had to undergo surgery in the UK. After missing the first half of the IPL in India. Shreyas was also ruled out of playing for Lancashire in the Royal London Cup. He has now joined Capitals in the United Arab Emirates to restart the IPL season.

“To be honest, I feel on top of the world,” Iyer said. “That was what I was looking forward to. Being in the team never feels bad. I came six days before the start of the practice session for the team, So I just want to continue with that position.

The Attempt to replicate the scenario :-

“It was very difficult to watch my teammates play. I was sitting in front of the TV, watching every game and feeling like I was on the field and trying to replicate the scenario in my place.

The Capitals are currently at the top of the IPL standings with six wins and two losses from eight matches. They will resume their campaign against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Dubai on 22nd September.

The Suited to weather conditions :-

Shreyas Iyer said, “We have discussed how we should proceed in the practice session before the match starts.” We don’t have to give it our all because the weather here is different. We need to adapt to the weather conditions and adapt as quickly as possible, and That should be our idea.”
