Since the shoulder injury in March, Shreyas is unable to become the number 1 choice for the team :-

Shreyas Iyer was a key part of the limited overs squad until early 2021. But suffered a shoulder injury in March. After that he was dropped from the team. On the other hand, Suryakumar Yadav’s entry was done, who confirmed the place at number 4. At the same time, even after his return, Shreyas Iyer left an impact on many occasions.
