Simon Harmer has been recalled to South Africa’s Test squad for a two-Test tour of New Zealand next month.

Harmer last played for the country on a tour of India in 2015 and signed a Kolpak deal with Essex in 2017.
The offspinner was including in the Traveling Group as a back-up to Keshav Maharaj and replaced George Linde, who was not receiving.

The series will be starting on February 17 and both the matches will be playing at Hagley Oval in Christchurch. This is a change from the original schedule, with the first Test in Christchurch and the second in Wellington. But with New Zealand has tighter COVID-19 resistance. The travel has been cut short by staying in one place.
