Sophie Frances Monique Devine is a New Zealand sportswoman. She has represented New Zealand in both crickets for the New Zealand national women’s cricket team. And in field hockey as a member of the New Zealand women’s national field hockey team. She has since focused on cricket. She was born on 1 September 1989. 

Skipper Sophie Devine started her career as a bowler who sometimes used to bat at number 11. However, the ace cricketer over the years reformed herself to become one of the most destructive batswomen. She leading all-rounder in the game.

Last year, she became the first male or female cricketer to scored six consecutive fifty-plus scores in the T20Is. In the past, she also played the role of a prolific all-rounder for Adelaide Strikers in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) before switching her loyalties to Perth Scorchers.

Devine did not play an ODI between July 2010 and February 2013. But it was on her return to the World Cup that things started to take off. She struck an imperious 145 against South Africa in New Zealand’s opening match. It would be four years until her next ODI hundred, against Pakistan in 201. And she went on to make four in 10 innings.
