Imran Khawaja is naming the chairman of the group. Which also includes Ross McCullum, Lawson Naidu, and Ramiz Raja. “The ICC Board has prohibited Afghanistan Cricket from continuing to pursue both men’s and women’s cricket,” Greg Barclay said.

“We believe that the most effective way for this to happen would be to give our member approval in our efforts to achieve this through our relationship with the new government.

“Cricket is fortunate to be in a position to effect positive change in Afghanistan, a national men’s team that is a source of great pride and unity in a country with a young population that has felt the most of upheaval and change.

We must protect that position and will continue to try to effect change through the ACB, but will continue to monitor the situation closely and take any decisions accordingly.”
