Sourav Ganguly Ready to make a strong comeback, will return as the director of this team

Former India captain Sourav Ganguly tenure in the BCCI came to an end. Former Indian all-rounder Roger Binny replaced Sourav Ganguly as the BCCI President. There were reports that Sourav Ganguly would contest the election of CAB President, but he refused to participate in it.

Sourav Ganguly revealed that he will return as the director of ATK Mohun Bagan and also said that he has fond memories of playing for the ISL club.

Sourav Ganguly has been a part of Atletico-Kolkata

Ganguly had resigned from the board of directors of Sanjeev Goenka-owned ISL club ATK Mohun Bagan in October 2021. Sourav Ganguly has been a part of Atletico-Kolkata since the inception of the Indian Super League in 2014. The club earlier known simply as ATK and then it associated with the Mohun Bagan legacy.

Ganguly said, ‘I have been a part of ATK Mohun Bagan. I will return as director of ATK Mohun Bagan. I forgot the year I entered Mohun Bagan Club and got lost in nostalgia. Its infrastructure, its grounds, is spectacular. I have played for this club for many years. And played for it for about 9 years. I am amazed at the turnaround of Mohun Bagan Club. Everything has become very different.

Ganguly also told that he will witness the Kolkata football derby match in ISL on 29 October

Sourav Ganguly also told that he will witness the Kolkata football derby match in ISL on 29 October. The former India captain said, ‘Also, I associated with ATK Mohun Bagan. Will watch the match between ATK Mohun Bagan and Emami East Bengal on 29th October. I will also be a witness to the FIFA World Cup. I played cricket but have a different passion for football.

When Sourav Ganguly was asked about the new AIFF President, he replied, ‘Football toh football hai’. With the ISL has come a professional style in Indian football. Football will definitely generate revenue in the coming days. We have a lot of great footballers like Sunil Chhetri. The AIFF President is a footballer. This is good. I hope he does a good job.
