South Africa’s Viaan Mulder has been ruled out of the three-match ODI series against the West Indies due to a side strain. Wayne Parnell has been included in his place.

Mulder suffered a grade one side strain –

The Proteas all-rounder suffered a grade one side strain during the second Test against the West Indies. He felt uneasiness during the test and subsequent scans confirmed tension.

Wayne Parnell, who has 98 ODI wickets at an average of 30.4, replaces Mulder in the South Africa squad. In other news, Tabraiz Shamsi has also made it into the South Africa ODI squad as a replacement for the injured Keshav Maharaj. Latter injured himself while celebrating the wicket of Kyle Mayers during West Indies’ second innings.
