The bat of the player for whom the Mumbai team management had shed money like water on the auction table has finally come to life. Australia’s star all-rounder Cameron Green has scored his first half-century in IPL 2023 against Hyderabad.

Green Hit the First Fifty

Green, who came on the field after the early dismissal of skipper Rohit Sharma, made a slow start and took 24 balls to score his first 28 runs. However, in the last over, Green wreaked havoc and, playing with a strike of 225, hit 36 runs in the last 16 balls. Green scored his first half-century in 33 balls in the 16th season of the Indian Premier League.

Green Was Flopping in the Opening Matches

Cameron Green’s performance was nothing special in IPL 2023 before this match. Green had scored just 35 runs in four matches before taking the field against Hyderabad and was thrashed with the ball too. For Green, Mumbai had to fight a long battle with the rest of the teams in the auction and Rohit’s Paltan joined the team with a bid of 17.50 crores.

Rohit’s Six thousand Runs Completed

Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma has completed six thousand runs in IPL. Rohit has become just the fourth batsman in the history of the Indian Premier League to achieve this feat. Rohit achieved this special position by hitting three fours in three consecutive balls of Washington Sundar. However, Rohit could not take advantage of the good start and went on to score 28 runs in 18 balls. The Hitman hit six fours during his innings while playing at a strike rate of 155.
