The Indian team not only has to face the Sri Lankan players on the field but also has to be careful with the coded signals from the dressing room.
Sri Lanka’s head coach Chris Silverwood has come up with an interesting strategy to guide the SL players through coded signals. Silverwood has said that he will continue this in the match against India.
Yes We are Using Code Signal:-
Chris Silverwood said, “There is nothing wrong with guiding the team on-field. yes, we are using code signal. We will use the same in our next match against India.”
The SL coach used code signs to guide his team to two consecutive victories against Bangladesh and Afghanistan in the Asia Cup.
While many criticized Silverwood’s methods, Silverwood announced that he was in with the rules for sending instructions to the team on the field.
Just Tips For Captain:-
Silverwood continued, “There is no rocket science. They are just suggestions to the captain as to what would be a good match for a batsman at a particular point when he is on strike.
There are so many teams doing it right now, it’s as simple as it really is. It’s just suggesting that the captain can use, it’s not telling him how to captain. This is just a suggestion from the side.”
