Asian Games 2023: Sri Lankan team suffered a crushing defeat from India by 10 wickets in the final match of Asia Cup 2023. With this victory, Team India won the Asia Cup title for the eighth time.

After this defeat, Sri Lanka has announced its men’s and women’s teams for the 19th Asian Games to be held in Hangzhou from 23 September to 8 October.

Actually, after five years, cricket has been included in the Asian Games 2023. Let us tell you that cricket was included in the Asian Games played in China in 2010 and in 2014, but when the tournament was held in Indonesia in 2018, cricket was removed.

In such a situation, cricket will once again be played in the Asian Games. This year, there will be a total of 61 competitions in 40 sports at the Hangzhou Asian Games. Apart from this, this tournament will be played in 5 different cities.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka cricket team has announced the men’s and women’s team for the Asian Games. The command of the Sri Lankan men’s cricket team has been handed over to Sahan Arachige, while Chamari Athapaththu has been made the captain of the Sri Lankan women’s cricket team.
