Stuart Binny Retires From all Forms of Cricket

Indian all-rounder Stuart Binny has announced his retirement from first-class and international cricket.

37-year-old Stuart Binny, who represented India in 6 Tests, 14 ODIs and 3 T20Is. He last performed in international cricket in 2016. His bowling figures of 6 for 9 against Bangladesh in 2014 remain the best by an Indian bowler in ODIs. .

Stuart Binny Was Very Happy to Represent His Country at the International Level:

“It gives me immense pleasure and pride to represent my country at the highest international level,” Stuart Binny said in a statement on Monday (August 30).

Stuart Binny said, “I am grateful to the coaches who encouraged me. To the selectors who believed in me. The friends who shared my cricketing journey with immense pride. Stuart Binny is an Experienced Player in Domestic Cricket:

A veteran in domestic cricket, the medium pace bowling all-rounder had switched from his home state of Karnataka to Nagaland towards the end of his career. At the age of 17, Binny played 95 first-class matches, scoring 4796 runs at an average of 34.25, in addition to taking 148 wickets. He was an integral member of the Karnataka side during their successive Ranji Trophy victories in 2013–14 and 2014–15.

The son of former World Cup winner Roger Binny, Stuart Binny has featured in 100 List A matches and 150 T20Is. Including 95 IPL games for Rajasthan Royals, Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore. He also had a brief stint with the now defunct Indian Cricket League.

Stuart Binny Wants to Acknowledge the Bigger Role BCCI Plays in His Journey:

He said, “I would like to acknowledge the big role BCCI plays in my journey. Their support and trust over the years has been invaluable. My cricketing journey would not have even started if it had not been for Karnataka and their support. It has been a Respect to the captain and win trophies with my state. I would also like to thank the IPL teams that have enriched my career.”

Binny, a Level 2 coach with the National Cricket Academy, has now focused on cricket coaching.
