London: England fast bowler Stuart Broad completed a unique Test century in the first Test match of the series against South Africa at Lord’s. As soon as he took the wicket of Kyle Verreynne after tea break on the second day, he became the second bowler in the world to take 100 Test wickets at the historic ground of Lord’s. Before him at Lord’s, only James Anderson (117) had done so.
Fourth bowler to take more than 100 Test wickets at a venue
He has become the fourth bowler in the world to take more than 100 wickets on a field. Muttiah Muralitharan, James Anderson and Rangana Herath have achieved this feat. Muttiah Muralitharan, the most successful bowler in Test cricket history, has done this feat in three Sri Lankan grounds Colombo (SSC), Kandy and Galle. On the other hand, James Anderson has completed centuries of Test wickets at Lord’s and Rangana Herath at Galle.

Stuart Broad joins the special club with 100 wickets in 26 Tests at Lord’s
Muralitharan holds the record for taking most wickets in a Test venue. He has taken 166 wickets in 24 Tests at the SSC Ground in Colombo. James Anderson is second on this list. Anderson has taken 117 wickets in 27 Test matches played at Lord’s. Murali took 117 wickets in 16 Tests in Kandy and 111 wickets in 15 Tests in Galle. While Rangana Herath has 102 wickets in 19 Tests in Galle. Now Stuart Broad has joined the special club with 100 wickets in 26 Tests at Lord’s.
