Impressed by the batting of Dinesh Karthik, who is running in a great rhythm in the current season of IPL, former veteran Sunil Gavaskar said that this veteran wicket-keeper batsman can play the role of finisher for the Indian team in the upcoming T20 World Cup.

Gavaskar said in an event that Dinesh Karthik wants to be a part of the Indian team for the T20 World Cup. I want to say that you don’t look at his age, just look at what kind of innings he is playing.

Dinesh Karthik running in excellent form :-

Dinesh Karthik is scoring runs fearlessly for the RCB team in the current season. The former KKR captain has played innings of 32, 14, 44, 7, 34 and 66 runs in this season, during which his strike rate is 209.57 and average is 197.

Karthik turned the tide of the match by playing an unbeaten 66 off 34 balls against Delhi Capitals. In this match, Karthik became the ‘Man of the Match’. During this, he scored easily against Mustafizur Rahman and India’s young fast bowler Khaleel Ahmed.

Dinesh Karthik can play the role of finisher in T20 World Cup :-

Sunil Gavaskar said, ‘He turned the tide of the match with his performance. He is doing the same work as would be expected from a sixth or seventh order batsman in the T20 World Cup (October-November 2022). Sunil Gavaskar further said that he can play the role of a finisher in the T20 World Cup.
