New Delhi, Online Desk. India’s legendary batsman Sunil Gavaskar has heaped praise on the Indian bowling lineup. His reaction has come about the return of Jasprit Bumrah in the T20 series against Sri Lanka. According to him, the return of Jasprit Bumrah will make the Indian bowling even more sharp.
The way Indian bowlers bowled and defended scores in Bumrah’s absence in ODIs and T20Is against West Indies is commendable. He heaped praise on Deepak Chahar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami and Mohammad Siraj, saying that India are currently extremely fortunate in terms of bowling.
Sunil Gavaskar praised Deepak Chahar for the way he swings the ball from both sides
During a conversation with Star Sports, Sunil Gavaskar praised Deepak Chahar and said that it is difficult for any batsman to understand the way he swings the ball from both sides.
“He is an amazing swing bowler. He has good pace too. Doesn’t show but with good pace he can move the ball which creates trouble for the batsmen. He can bowl the ball both the sides without changing the bowling action. Can swing which makes it difficult for the batsmen to understand him. If you have bowlers who make Bhuvneshwar Kumar sit out even after performing well, then India is lucky to bowl.
