BCCI has announced Team India for ODI and T20 series against Sri Lanka. In the absence of Rohit in the T20 team, the command of the team has been handed over to Hardik Pandya, while Suryakumar Yadav, who made a splash in T20 cricket in 2022, has been made the vice-captain for the first time.

Suryakumar Yadav has reacted to this for the first time after this big responsibility in the team. He said “I was not expecting it, but I think in the last one year, the performances I have put in have been rewarded. I am feeling good and ready for it.”

After being made the vice-captain, Suryakumar Yadav’s father told him not to take any kind of pressure and enjoy his batting.

Currently Surya is playing Ranji Trophy and is batting consistently. Surya, who is returning after 3 years, has scored back to back half-centuries. He first scored 90 against Hyderabad and then scored 97 against Saurashtra.
