IND vs SA, Suryakumar Yadav: In the second T20 against South Africa, Suryakumar continued his stellar form with his third consecutive and ninth half-century of T20 International career. Earlier, he had scored half-centuries in the last T20 against Australia and the first T20 against South Africa.
Suryakumar Yadav became the fastest player to score 1000 runs :-
Suryakumar also completed 1000 runs in T20 Internationals as soon as he scored 24 runs. Surya completed thousand runs in 31 innings of 32 matches. He has become the third player for India to score thousand runs in the lowest innings in T20 Internationals. Virat Kohli completed thousand runs in 27 innings and KL Rahul in 29 innings.
Suryakumar joined the club of Kohli, Rohit, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh, Shikhar Dhawan and Suresh Raina after completing 1000 runs. With this, Suryakumar became the fastest batsman to complete thousand runs in terms of ball in T20 Internationals.
Suryakumar has completed 1000 runs by playing 573 balls at a strike rate of 174. At the same time, Glenn Maxwell is at number two. He played a total of 604 balls to complete thousand runs in T20 Internationals. During this his strike rate was 166. New Zealand’s Colin Munro is at number three with 635 balls.
Brilliant half century in 18 balls by Suryakumar Yadav :-
Suryakumar scored his ninth half-century of T20 International career in 18 balls. He has become the joint second Indian batsman to score the fastest fifty in T20 Internationals. Former all-rounder Yuvraj Singh holds the record of making a half-century in the fewest balls for India in T20 Internationals.
Yuvraj scored a 12-ball fifty against England in Durban in 2007. After this, KL Rahul scored an 18-ball fifty against Scotland in Dubai in 2021. Suryakumar equaled it.

Suryakumar has scored 793 runs in 22 T20 Internationals so far in the year 2022. He is the highest run-scorer in a calendar year by the Indian batsman. Now Suryakumar is also eyeing the records of Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam of Pakistan.
Rizwan holds the record for most runs in T20 Internationals in a calendar year. Rizwan scored 1326 runs in 29 matches in the year 2021. At the same time, Babar scored 939 runs in 29 matches in 2021. After this comes Suryakumar’s number.

He is the first player to reach this milestone. Earlier, the record for most sixes in a calendar year was held by Mohammad Rizwan. Rizwan had hit 42 sixes in 2021. At the same time, Martin Guptill also hit 41 sixes in 2021 and he is at number three.
