ICC T20I Cricketer of the Year: star batsman Suryakumar Yadav has won the ICC T20I Cricketer of the Year 2023 award. ICC announced this on 24 January.

Suryakumar Yadav had won this award last time too and with this, Surya has created a big history. He has become the only player to win the ICC T20I Cricketer of the Year award twice. Surya won the award for the second consecutive time by defeating Sikandar Raza of Zimbabwe, Mark Chapman of New Zealand and Alpesh Ramjani of Uganda.

Surya has been on top in ICC T20I rankings for a long time :-
Suryakumar Yadav has held the top position in the ICC T20I rankings for a long time. He performed amazingly in the shortest format last year. He scored 733 runs in 17 T20I International innings in 2023 at an average of 48.86 and a strike rate of 155.95.
During this period he scored 2 centuries and 5 fifties. Surya scored unbeaten 112 off 51 balls against Sri Lanka in Rajkot in January last year. He hit 9 sixes and 7 fours. With this century, he became the second fastest century scorer for India in men’s T20 matches after Rohit Sharma.
