T20 WC 2021: “I don’t think Bio-Bubble fatigue can affect Team India’s performance” – Aakash Chopra. Former India opener Aakash Chopra has underlined the apprehensions of bio-bubble fatigue. Many Indian players have been playing cricket continuously since the tour of Australia last year.

They got transferred from bubble to bubble in UAE after the confirmation of 2021 IPL. But Chopra feels that the opportunity to write history and the event held after such a long distance should lead the Indian team towards its objective.

Speaking on Deep Dasgupta’s YouTube channel, Akash said :-

“Bio-bubble fatigue is real, you start to experience it after a while. Even if we don’t play, we experience it. The Indian team has been on the road for a very long time and it’s one last stretch for them The World Cup doesn’t happen very often and even this edition is happening after 5 years. So, I don’t think bio-bubble fatigue can change the performance of the Indian team.”

Team India’s will start its campaign for the World Cup with a match-up against arch-rivals Pakistan in Dubai on Sunday (24 October).

KL Rahul should be given full license to play cleanly :- Chopra

Aakash Chopra does not want the team to replace the opening pair of Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul. He wants Kohli to stay at No 3 in exchange for batting at the top and breaking the in-form opening pair.

Chopra admitted that the prospect of Kohli opening the innings was interesting, especially the way he complemented Rohit Sharma in the only match they had opened together: the series against England earlier this year. Last T20I.

However, he said that KL Rahul-Rohit Sharma is the right method to proceed.

Virat Kohli top order :-

“Virat Kohli is a very tempting fallacy to explore in the top order. But, no. He shouldn’t be opening. Rahul and Sharma should be the opening pair. KL should be given a full license to play independently. I am also expecting Rohit to play a little longer. We have seen, especially in the IPL, that he is at the crease for some time, scoring 30-40 runs but those big innings are missing.”

KL Rahul follows a reserved perspective when it comes to batting with Punjab Kings in the IPL. With the departure of Mayank Agarwal and taking over from the weak middle order, Rahul has not often acted as an anchor during an innings.
