T20 World cup 2022: Rishabh Pant breaks the trust of coach and captain

New Delhi. Indian cricket team has reached Australia to play T20 World Cup. On Monday (October 10), Team India also played a practice match with a local team here. Rishabh Pant broke the trust of the coach and captain. The deficiency is such that it is not taking the name of improvement. Coach Rahul Dravid and captain Rohit Sharma are showing consistent faith in a player but he is doing disappointing every time.

The Indian cricket team won the match against Western Australia by 13 runs on Monday. Team India, batting first, scored 158 runs for 6 wickets in the match. In reply, the hosts could only score 145 runs for 8 wickets. Suryakumar Yadav, who was running in top form, scored the highest run scoring 52 runs. The coach and captain have relentlessly reposed faith in Rishabh Pant but he continues to flop. Here too he was sent for the opening but the performance was disappointing.

Rishabh Pant’s flop show continues

Rishabh Pant, the favorite of Rahul Dravid and Rohit Sharma, is not getting runs from the bat. He was also given a chance to open the innings against Western Australia. After playing 16 balls, he came back after scoring just 9 runs. Well, this is not the first time that he returned unsuccessfully. Earlier, he was also seen struggling to score runs against South Africa, West Indies and Pakistan.

Craving to score runs in last 20 innings

Runs are not coming out of Rishabh’s bat but coach Dravid is giving him constant opportunities. Looking at the last 20 T20 innings, this player has scored a half-century only once with the bat. The amazing thing is that most of the opportunities have been given to them in the upper order. Rishabh has failed to score runs in the opening too. Talking about the last 10 innings, he has scored 27, 20, 17, 14, 44, 33, 24, 14, 1, and 17 runs.
