Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal is all set to feature in the Everest Premier League after applying for a no-objection certificate to participate in the competition in Nepal from September 25 to October 9.

BCB Cricket Operations President Akram Khan confirmed the development. On Tuesday (September 7) saying they would make a decision the next day. “We have received a letter from Tamim for NOC to participate in EPL. We will decide tomorrow (Wednesday),” Akram said.
It is understood that the BCB is keen to grant them NOCs to give them a platform to return to competitive cricket.

Against Sri Lanka as well as in the Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier Division T20 League. However, he had to leave the tournament midway due to injury while playing in the league. And missed the one-off Test against Zimbabwe. After leading the team in an ODI series in Zimbabwe. Tamim skipped the T20 leg and went through a rehabilitation program after returning home.
