Team India had a great debut in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. Team India avenged the defeat in the T20 World Cup 2021 by registering a victory on the last ball against Pakistan and also eased the way to reach the semi-finals. Now India has to play its next match against Netherlands on 27 October at Sydney Cricket Ground. Team India reached Sydney from Melbourne and took part in the first practice session. Team India had an optional training session on Thursday at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Captain Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Virat Kohli, Yuzvendra Chahal took part in the first training session. On the other hand, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya and Mohammed Shami took a break from the optional training session.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Arshdeep Singh also decided to take a break from the training session

Apart from these three fast bowlers Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Arshdeep Singh also decided to take a break from the training session. India registered a memorable victory against Pakistan. Star batsman Virat Kohli almost single-handedly led Team India to victory. Batting first, Pakistan had given a target of 160 runs, in response, the Indian team lost four wickets for 31 runs.

Hundred partnership between Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya

This was followed by a century partnership between Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya. Virat Kohli scored 82 not out off 53 balls and was adjudged man of the match. Virat and Hardik took the victory from Pakistan’s circle. Captain Rohit Sharma‘s form, however, remains a headache for Team India. Rohit was dismissed for just four runs against Pakistan.
