India Squad T20 WC: BCCI official’s big statement about Jasprit Bumrah playing in the T20 World Cup, Team India is going through a difficult phase at the moment.

Both the BCCI and the selectors are worried, with just one month left to announce the squad for the T20 World Cup 2022.
Bumrah’s injury is old and this is a matter of concern:-
A senior BCCI official said, “The problem is that Bumrah’s injury is chronic and that is a matter of concern. We have only two months left for the World Cup and he has got this injury at the worst time.
We are closely monitoring his condition. He is the best bowler in cricket and needs to be managed carefully.
Jasprit Bumrah has been off the field for a long time due to his back injury. Experts say that it is his unusual movements that take a toll on his body and cause him frequent injuries.
But he seems to have recovered from it and has played important matches for India. However, the injury has troubled him once again.
It was a lower back stress fracture that kept him out for several months. But now that the T20 World Cup is near, India cannot afford to lose it.
Jasprit Bumrah’s injury is cause for concern:-
The Indian pacer has suffered from injury problems in the past which delayed his Test debut in 2018.
Bumrah has a back injury which is a recurrence of his old injury. Though it is not a stress fracture, considering his injury history, it is becoming a cause of great concern.
Asia Cup was dropped from 2022:-
Bumrah was ruled out of the 2022 Asia Cup and will undergo rehabilitation at the NCA in Bengaluru. But the cause of concern is his long time off the field due to injury in the past.

Bumrah spent almost five months on the sidelines in 2019 when the BCCI said it was a minor injury. In his absence, India will have only Bhuvneshwar Kumar to rely on.
Harshal Patel has also suffered a rib injury and is in doubt for the T20 World Cup. If both dropping, it will severely curtail India’s chances in the T20 World Cup in Australia.
