Cricket South Africa (CSA) has said that they will consider early release of South African Players for the Indian Premier League (IPL), who would otherwise be irregular in the home Test series against Bangladesh during the first quarter of the league.

Two Test Match Series:-

The Players like Kagiso Rabada, Lungi Ngidi, Enrique Nortje, Marco Jensen, and Aiden Markram could miss out on a major chunk of the games that come after the end of the two-Test series.

The CSA said it would look into the matter but halted giving an unfettered request. CSA chief Lawson Naidu told Cricbuzz on Friday (February 11), “We will look into the matter after the IPL auction is over when we know which players are going to play in the IPL.”

The prices of these South African players could go up further due to the reviews ahead of the auctions on Saturday and Sunday. Nortje has already been retained by Delhi Capitals.

The Accessibility is Not Severely Restricted:-

Bowlers like Rabada, Lungi Ngidi, Jensen, and Markram could be hotly pursued by the franchise if their accessibility is not severely restricted.

The IPL is expected to start from March 27 and will not be received for the upcoming five-six matches after April 11 as there is a five-day stipulated time of mandatory quarantine after their arrival in India.
