The Hobart Hurricanes (BBL) Release Fixtures For Its Twelfth Season 2022 with the schedule announced today bringing out the best of the Big Bash in Tasmania.

The Includes seven home fixtures

That includes seven home fixtures – five at Blundstone Arena and two at the University of Tasmania Stadium. The Hurricanes’ season will kick off at the MCG on Friday 16 December against the Melbourne Stars.

They will then travel to Launceston to begin their first clash at home against the BBL|11 champions, the Perth Scorchers.

The good news for fans is that the Hurricanes will play a total of 14 matches throughout the season, of which 10 will be streamed free-to-air on Channel 7.

The Regular Season at University of Tasmania Stadium

The Melbourne Renegades, Adelaide Strikers, Melbourne Stars, Sydney Thunder, and Sydney Sixers will all take on the Hurricane at Blundstone Arena, ending the regular season against Brisbane Heat at the University of Tasmania Stadium.

Hobart fans will also get to experience the annual Christmas Eve game against the Melbourne Renegades at Blundstone Arena on New Year’s Eve against the Sydney Thunder on December 31 at 3.30 Pm.

Hobart Hurricanes General Manager, Scott Barnes, expressed how exciting it was for the Hurricanes to start and finish their home season north of Tasmania.

“While we look forward to our first and final home games for the season at the University of Tasmania Stadium in Launceston, we think this will be a great opportunity for our fans to start the BBL summer in front of them,” Barnes said.

Tickets for all KFC BBL|12 matches will be available via pre-sale on 16 August. And will be available to the public from 18 August.
