The Host Took Out the Air of the British, South Africa Created History by Reaching the World Cup Final

New Delhi. Host South Africa has confirmed a place in the final of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup by showing a blistering game. In the second semi-final of the tournament, the former champions England were defeated by the hosts by a run. Batting first, the South African team scored 164 runs for 4 wickets on the basis of Fifty of Laura Wolvaardt and Tajmin Bits. In response, the England team could only reach 158 runs.

Ayabonga Khaka’s 4 Wickets Turned the Match

The opening pair of Daniel Wyatt and Sophia Dunkley hit 50 runs in just 5 overs at a net run rate of 10. Sophia Dunkley was dismissed by Shabnam Smile on the first ball of the sixth over and then Alice Capse was sent back without opening the account after one ball. Both the catches were caught by Tajmin Bits and gave a big blow to England. Nadine de Klerk took 3 wickets in the 18th over. One after the other, the batters kept getting out at regular intervals and South Africa won the game.

Ayabonga Khaka got the maximum 4 wickets for South Africa while Shabnam Smile dismissed 3 batters. Khaka gave just 29 runs in 4 overs while Smile spent 27 runs.

Fifty of Wolvaardt-Brits

In an important match for South Africa, the opener started with a bang and laid the foundation of the team’s big score by sharing a 96-run partnership. Laura Wolvaardt was dismissed after playing a brilliant inning of 53 runs off 44 balls. While Tajmin Bitts scored 68 runs in 55 balls. Hitting 6 fours and 2 sixes, to reach the score of 142 runs. Marijane Cap came in the end and set a target of 165 runs for England in an innings of 27 runs.

South Africa will Face the Powerful Team of Australia to Win the Trophy

After creating history by reaching the final for the first time. South Africa will now face Australia’s mighty team to win the trophy. Australia’s team defeated India by 5 runs in the first semi-final. Australia is also the current champion of this Women’s T20 World Cup.
