An update has come related to this, according to which the draft of the Men’s Hundred tournament and the announcement of contracts for women players for its second season have been postponed. Earlier this announcement was proposed on 30th March but now it has been extended to 5th April due to debt crisis.

The decision has been taken in view of Warne’s funeral

A statement from ‘The Hundred’ said that the selection of male players in The Hundred Draft and the announcement of contracts for new female players will now take place on 5 April. This decision has been taken in view of Shane Warne’s funeral. Let us tell you that Shane Warne died on 4 March in Thailand. He was 52 years old. Earlier his death was suspected to be due to day attack. However, later autopsy reports revealed that he died of natural causes and this was confirmed by the Thai authorities. On this, the doctors were also of the opinion that the cause of his death was natural.

Shane Warne had left a different mark in the world with his magic bowling. In a career spanning 15 years, he took 708 wickets in 145 Test matches. He is the second player after Muttiah Muralitharan to take the most wickets. He took 291 wickets in 193 ODIs.
