The Hundred Women 2022: Australia’s Beth Mooney remains unbeaten on 97 off 55 balls, Southern Brave has made a good start in the Hundred Women’s 2022 tournament as they beat London Spirit by six wickets in the second match at the Rose Bowl in Southampton.
Wyatt’s scintillating half-century at the top, coupled with a good bowling spell from Amanda-Jade Wellington, set up a decent win for the Southern Braves.

Earlier in the game, London Spirit elected to bat first, and openers Beth Mooney and Grace Scrivens got off to a slow start.
While Mooney was striking the ball well, Scripps struggled to stick to the scoreboard and was removed for nine balls by Georgia Adams.
Amelia Kerr and Mooney put on an 87-run stand for the second wicket as the duo opened the innings to a fine end.
Mooney completed his half-century in the process, while Kerr was dismissed for 37 off 27 balls.
Danielle Gibson was dismissed for a golden duck while the oncoming batsmen tried to strike the in-form Mooney, who was the lone crusader for the London Spirit.
In the end, they finished with a competitive score of 155/4, with Mooney missing out on a century by just three runs. The Australian remained unbeaten on 97 off 55, which included 16 fours and a six.
Single-handedly he helped his team to the fighting total. Amanda-Jade Wellington was the bowlers’ choice for the Southern Braves, with 3/30 for 1.5 runs per ball.
In reply, Southern Brave openers Smriti Mandhana and Danny Wyatt got off to a great start and took advantage of the powerplay. Mandhana made 19 off 14 balls while Wyatt continued his attack and scored a half-century.
Her runs came at a very fast pace and when she was dismissed for 65 off 34 balls, she significantly lowered the required run rate, an innings that included 12 fours and two sixes.
