Tim Paine to undergo a neck surgery this week

Australia’s Test captain Tim Paine is facing a committed build-up to the Ashes after. It was decided that Tim Paine would undergo neck surgery for a pinched vein. That has been causing trouble for a long time.

Tim Paine to have surgery on Tuesday :-

First reported in The Australian, Tim will have an operation on Tuesday, having been unable to train at full intensity in recent weeks but rest did not help ease the trouble.

A statement from Cricket Australia said that Tim Paine’s neck and left arm were in pain due to a protruding disc. He consulted a spinal surgeon in Hobart late last week, and it was recommended that he undergo surgery to remove the impact on the nerve.

He is expected to be fit to return to action in early November, giving him a month to prepare for the first Test against England, which is currently set to begin in Brisbane on 8 December.

Paine said :-

“The general permission from the spinal surgeon and the CA medical team was to have the surgery now, to give them plenty of time to fully prepare for the summer,” said Tim Paine. “I hope to resume physical activity by the end of this month and be back in full training in October. I will be ready to go through the first Test and look forward to the very hot summer.“

Paine will be ruled out of Tasmania’s opening Sheffield Shield matches. They are one of four states to start their season at the end of this month when they face Queensland. Apart from the first two matches, the rest of the Sheffield Shield schedule remains erratic due to the COVID-19 disruptions.

It appears that Tim Paine may miss out on his chance to captain Australia. At his home ground in Hobart in late November. The Test against Afghanistan is now in serious. Doubt following Cricket Australia’s stand women will not be allowed to play the game. If given, they will dismiss the match.
