Tours by SA, Australia, Netherlands, and Indian women will now be confined to a small list of venues. Men’s and women’s cricket streamlined to reduce COVID-19 risk.

New Zealand Cricket has announced a revised domestic international schedule for the remainder of the 2021–22 season. In which its place list is systematically facilitated. In order to reduce the risk of disruption by the Omicron version of COVID-19.

The upcoming trip to South Africa for the two men’s Test will, as a result, be confirme to Christchurch. Earlier, they were originally scheduled to play one Test there and one in Wellington.

All three men’s T20Is against Australia will now be played in Napier. And the trip to the Netherlands for the men’s white-ball tour will be split between Mount Maunganui (one-sided T20Is and one ODI) and Hamilton (two ODIs).

India women will play their entire white-ball series (one T20I and five ODIs) in Queenstown.

NZC Chief Executive David White stated that “this risk mitigation is based on avoiding known COVID-19 hotspots. And that includes limiting air travel, limiting housing transfers, and essentially working in a safe environment.”

Fans who have purchased tickets to venues that will no longer host games are entitled to a full refund.
