New Zealand cricket team fast bowler Trent Boult is all set to participate in the Big Basque League (BBL 2022-23). The fast bowler had given up his national central contract in August to play leagues across the globe. His decision raised a lot of eyebrows. As we all know that New Zealand does not have a huge pool of quality players to replace him.

Trent Boult was asked about the changing landscape of cricket

Trent said – “It’s a moving scenario it looks like at the moment, but I’ve definitely got big ambitions of still being there. Next year’s 2023 World Cup in India is a big one to be a part of.” I would love to but it’s a lot of cricket away.”

Trent added – “The immediate future is obviously to focus on the Big Bash and I’m also in the International T20 league in Dubai in a couple of weeks and I’m very excited to be here. I’ve played a lot of international cricket and I’m now Got an opportunity to get into some franchise stuff.”

NZ is all set to play 2 Tests and 3 ODIs against PAK

New Zealand Cricket (NZC) had said that players would be given priority in the contract. New Zealand is all set to play 2 Tests and 3 ODIs against Pakistan on a historic tour of Pakistan. With the ODI World Cup coming up next year. Players need to play in unison as frequent chopping and changing will not work.

Captain Kane Williamson and head coach Gary Stead have a tough task on their hands. As finding the right combination against the formidable Pakistan will not be easy. It will be interesting to see that last time in 2021 the Kiwi team pulled out of the tour at the 11th hour citing security reasons.
