Trouble of England Increased Before the Ashes… Match Winner Player Out, Franchise has been Cheated in IPL

New Delhi. The England cricket team has suffered a major setback ahead of the upcoming Ashes series against Australia. The match-winning player of the team has dropped out a month before the start of the series. The 5-match Ashes series between England and Australia will begin on June 16. England have to host Australia at home. According to the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), scans have revealed that his elbow injury has resurfaced due to which he will not be able to play a single international match this summer season. Due to this injury, Archer was out of the entire tournament after playing only 4 matches in the 16th edition of IPL.

Jofra Archer Will Undergo Rehab together With England and Sussex Medical team

Right-arm fast bowler Jofra Archer was a part of the Mumbai Indians team in the IPL. The franchisee retained him for 8 crores. Archer will undergo rehab together with the England and Sussex medical team after the scan revealed a second stress fracture. ECB director Rob Key said that it is a frustrating and troubling time for Joffra Archer. The ECB confirmed Archer’s exclusion on Tuesday. The England team also has to play a Test match against Ireland before the Ashes. Archer will not be able to play in that Test match also.

Jofra Archer Ruled Out of Test Against Ireland

The only Test match will be played between England and Ireland from June 1. The first Test match of the Ashes series will be played at Edgbaston from June 16 while the second will be played in London on June 28. The third Test of the series will be played at Leeds from July 6, the fourth Test at Old Trafford from July 19 and the fifth and final Test at The Oval from July 27.

Jofra’s 1 Wicket Cost Mumbai 4 Crores

Jofra Archer was bought by Mumbai in the year 2022 for 8 crores. Last year he did not play a single match. This year, after missing the initial matches of IPL, he joined the team in the middle but Mumbai got one wicket of this player for 4 crores. Archer took only 2 wickets in 5 matches this season.
