England, having lost the final in the 2016 World T20, are currently ranked No. 1 in T20Is. Their having won nine of 11 bilateral series. As part of tournament preparations, they are scheduled to play two T20Is against Pakistan next month, the first of which will be against West Indies in the United Arab Emirates on 23 October.
