Dubai: The Emirates Cricket Board on Saturday announced its squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022. The name of their most experienced player Rohan Mustafa not included in the 15-man squad announced for the UAE World Cup. His absence has become a topic of discussion after the announcement of the team.

33-year-old Rohan Mustafa recently seen playing for the team. He shown the way out of the playing-11 during the Asia Cup qualifiers held in Oman. Born in Thrissur, Kerala, 34-year-old Chandanagpoyil Rizwan has been named the captain of the team. Vritya Aravind will be the vice-captain of the team.
Indian origin players dominate
Four players have got a place in the team as reserve players. In which Sultan Ahmed, Fahad Nawaz, Vishnu Sukumaran, Aditya Shetty, Sanchit Sharma. The dominance of players of Indian origin in the UAE team is clearly visible. Apart from the captain and vice-captain, many other players are also of Indian origin. In which the names of players like Chirag Suri, Basil Hameed, Aryan Lakra, Karthik Meiyappan, Vishnu Sukumaran, Aditya Shetty and Sanchit Sharma included.

CP Rizwan (Captain), Vritya Aravind (Vice-Captain), Chirag Suri, Muhammad Wasim, Basil Hameed, Aryan Lakra, Jawar Farid, Kashif Dawood, Karthik Meiyappan, Ahmed Raza, Zahoor Khan, Junaid Siddiqui, Sabir Ali, Alishan Sharafu and Ayan Khan.
