The world record of hitting most sixes in a year in international cricket has now been registered in the name of UAE cricket team captain Muhammad Wasim. Not only this, Muhammad Wasim is the only player in the world who has hit 100 or more sixes in international cricket in a year. Muhammad Wasim hit 101 sixes :-

Muhammad Wasim has hit a total of 101 sixes in international cricket in 2023. At the same time, Rohit Sharma has hit 80 sixes in international cricket this year. Wasim has played only ODI and T20I cricket, whereas Rohit Sharma focused on Test and ODI cricket. This year he did not play a single T20 International match. Rohit Sharma hit 78 sixes in 2019 and 74 sixes in 2018. Whereas, Suryakumar Yadav had hit 74 sixes in 2022. Rohit had hit 65 sixes in 2017.
